About the app

This Arcticans Aurora Forecast App is initiated, designed, and developed by Roderik Peeters, Joost Baudoin, Ruben Weytjens and Wietse Dijkstra. The dream of this team of 4 northern lights enthusiasts is to create the perfect tool which guides you as a traveler as best as possible in your search for the northern lights. We combine rocket science with our 2 decades of experience in hunting the northern lights in the arctic, which results in an app that creates the perfect interpretation of science. 

Use this app as your personal Northern Lights guide. Select your relevant location and if there is a good chance you will receive a “push” message. But we do invite you to actively use the app during your trip. Since only the northern lights chaser who continuously monitors the parameters will maximize his or her chances of seeing the northern lights.
